Joseph Steele Recovers after Heart Catheterization Procedure

Our good friend and triathlete, Joseph Steele, is recovering today after undergoing a heart catheterization to close a foreman ovale.  Last week, Joe suffered a right frontal lobe stroke and was taken to the hospital for evaluation and testing.  Apparently, the clot formed from the atrial communication of the foreman ovale.

I’m happy to report that Joe is doing very well after his heart cath today.  He will be released from the hospital tomorrow.  He is in good spirits and I spoke with him by telephone today in his hospital room.  He said that he immediately noticed a difference when the hole in his heart was closed.  What’s amazing to me , is the fact that Joe is a wonderful triathlete and has been training over the past few months for the iron man.  I’m sure since the foreman is now closed, his heart and ejection fraction should improve and he may even notice more results from training.

Joseph, we all wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you on the roads soon!
